I grew up in small town Weiser, Idaho where I learned a lot about hard work, responsibility, and helping out my friends and neighbors. I also learned how to create fun! In a little bitty town like Weiser, it’s kind of a required skill so you don’t get bored! I am a childhood cancer survivor which taught me a lot about long suffering, patience, determination, faith, and happiness. Why happiness? Because, even at 5 years old, I understood that I could be happy even though I was going through something that made me feel awful. I saw the effect it had on people around me. To see others happy brought me joy, which got me through some difficult times. For 18 years I was a volunteer for the charity ‘Mac’s Gift-Children’s Cancer Foundation’ and served on the board for 8 years of that time. I currently volunteer for the events and consult with the board. Service is truly my passion. There’s just nothing like it.
I have a wonderful and goofy family which I feel so blessed to have! Thanks to my husband and four kids, I stay pretty grounded. My husband and I have ventured into several businesses over the years. For some reason we just love the adventure of owning and running our own businesses. We bought a carpet and upholstery cleaning franchise in Idaho and ran that for seven years until we sold it to move to Utah and open The Pizza Factory in Provo. That adventure has grown to four locations total (Provo, Spanish Fork, Lindon, Syracuse). The accounting became my job which I have done for many years. A hobby, flipping RVs, recently became a business of ours. We now own and run a used car/RV lot in Springville called Jex Sales. It’s been really fun.
My life has been very full and exciting. Never a dull moment, that’s for sure! But after taking a step back from the cancer foundation, I found myself wanting to get involved again, but in a different way. I wanted to help a broader spectrum of people. I wanted to use the skills I developed through all the experience I had with people and business. After a lot of thought and prayers, I finally decided that real estate made the most sense for me. It’s been such a fun business! I get to do all the things I love! Being able to help people get what they want and see the smile on their faces is so satisfying! I love being able to share in those moments of excitement. Moving is always a pretty big deal, so being able to relieve a little bit of the logistical pressure for others is great. The relationships I build with those I serve is priceless! I truly love this business and hope to bring a little bit of fun to the real estate experience. It’s all about perspective!
